FAQ

Do I need to meet you at the property?

You don’t necessarily have to be there as long as we have access to the home with a CLB or garage code. However, we prefer that someone is present at occupied homes, so they can answer questions, and do any moving of objects that may need to be done. Our photographers will not touch or move any personal property unless it is ok with the home owner.  We suggest that you come to the listing the first time you work with us so we can meet face to face and answer any questions you may have.  After our first house, most agents prefer we access the home through lox box so we can schedule the property as soon as possible.

 

 

How should the property be prepared for the shoot?

We will provide you with a PDF with suggestions you can share with your homeowner. The overall cleanliness and tidiness of the home will have a big impact on the images so it’s important to have a conversation with the homeowner about it. If you have a listing that’s full of clutter, feel free to blame us and tell them that the photographer requested it be picked up.

Flat surfaces should be as free from clutter as possible, and personal items should be tucked away. Your photographer will turn off any lights that were not on upon arrival when exiting the property.

How long does the process take? When will I get the images to use?

Photography of a listing can generally take 20 – 40 minutes, depending on the size of the home. Your images are usually ready for download within 24 hours after the shoot.

Cinematic HD Property Videos generally take 1 – 1.5 hours. The agents part usually takes 15-30 mins including both on camera time and off camera voice recording. We recommend that you arrive at the beginning of the scheduled time, this way you can leave when your part is done as we finish the rest of the processes filming the home.

 

What is your reschedule policy for rainy days, or for season changes?

We want to provide you with the highest quality images possible. Rainy or snowy days will not result in quality exterior photos of the home.  We will suggest re-scheduling on days the weather is not cooperating. 

If a property  must go on the market, and the shoot can’t be delayed, the photographer will do his/her best to create the best images possible. 

Exteriors can be re-photographed at a later date to produce updated exterior photos or do a seasonal update for $75 if you choice to move forward with the shoot on days with bad weather.

 

 

What is your cancellation policy?

If cancellation or rescheduling is necessary, please do so with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Any shoot cancelled with- in 24 hours of a confirmed appointment, except for weather related issues,  is subject to a $50 cancellation fee.  If you are planning on meeting your photography at the property and they do not have access to the home, arriving late beyond 20 minutes or a “no show” to an appointment will be considered a cancellation, and will be billed at the full rate of the shoot unless discussed prior between the photographer and agent. Every effort will be made to accommodate a rescheduling.

 

 

How are the images delivered to me?

After the shoot we will edit and prep the images. These will be individually optimized for color balance, contrast, brightness, and quality and uploaded to our server for you to download. We will send you an email containing links to download high resolution images, slideshows, as well as images resized for MLS and web use so you do not have the extra step of re-sizing them. Your images can also be placed on a CD/DVD if you request for an additional charge.

Cinematic HD Property Videos will be uploaded to our YouTube channel to make it easy for you to link and share the video. If you host your own page we can send you the files to upload yourself as well.

 

When do I pay? What type of payment do you accept?

For first time clients, payment is due on or before the shoot. After that we will invoice you after the project and payment is due within 15 days of invoice.  Most clients will choose to purchase a multi home package to receive discounts. We accept check and credit cards. Please make checks payable to Corridor Home Photos.

 

 

Do I own the Copyright?  How can I use the images?

 

Corridor Home Photos retains the copyright of all images and video. This is standard policy for any professional photography studio. Agents who hire shoots will be granted a license to use the images on the MLS, and websites that use MLS data such as Zillow.  Additionally, you can use these images for flyers, website, blog and in your personal marketing materials.  All images produced for an agent may be used for any marketing materials and campaigns associated with the property and for the agent’s self promotion. The photos may also be used by the agent’s parent company for the sole purpose of marketing the specific property photographed. Usage rights are granted only to the agent and the agent’s parent company and not to any third party. Any usage of the images by a third party, including but not limited to architects, builders, stagers, designers,  sellers or buyers, is strictly prohibited unless approved in writing by the photographer. 

 

 In the event that your listing expires and another agent re-lists the home, they are NOT authorized to use the images you hired us for. 

 Homeowners have no rights to the images unless they have commissioned the shoot.

 

 

Do you offer head shots for agents?

 

Yes. We can do both “traditional” profile photos with a clean white or dark background, or a more modern “lifestyle” session that can be done in your office, or out on location to create a variety of images to use for your personal branding and marketing.
